Hi Sagar, considering its a new laptops, its CD drive should function without problems, try different CD’s DVD’s and see if it was just a conflict with specific CD brand. As connecting to an Internet, if you connect using RJ45 cable directly into computer (not using Wireless connection) your computer should pick up a signal and connect you right away. If it is a Wireless connection, you will need your Wireless router name and password.

I see some folks here have had some problems with their acers. The only problem with mine is the fact it runs beautifully and hopefully will do so for years to come and it is already 4+ years old.
Latest generation of Acer laptops are well made, design and quality improved a lot and its understood, as competition is fears now, manufacturers compete for potential customers. I have one Acer, it works like a clock without problems, and I have it for about 4 years now. The only one of memory cards stopped working, it was replaced with twice of original capacity consequently having more speed than before.
