I am having Acer Aspire 5610 laptop. The battery is not at all charging. I want a new battery. But, not available in the shops. I buy this laptop with so many hopes and thoughts, but the battery backup and battery charging is very worst. I cant express my troubles in the words. Please acer company make an arrangement for your helpless customers.

Brought the Acer Aspire 6920 for my daughte/university. This piece of crap has crashed 3 times in one year - once during exams and she lost .5 credit course.We know now why it came with a 3 year warranty;it has spent more time with the warranty people than us!My daughter refuses to use/trust it with her school work so we are left with a lemon!Acer headquarters won't even answer our letters.WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK OR A NEW DEPENDABLE LAPTOP. I brought Acer last May 15 2009 in my home country philippines, but performance are too bad,,the hardisk already damage since last august,,and no service center for international warranty here in bangladesh. Now I need to wait until when i can coming home back in philippines to return back to distributor shope where I brought..very bad and sad expreience on acer quality product

I have an Acer 8920. I am having a problem that the battery will not charge and the computer shuts down even while it is plugged in. I bought a new battery; same results.
I can see the battery power percentage declining while I'm using the machine while plugged in.
It appears to be some kind of problem with the power slot, not the cord. Sometimes, moving it around does the trick and starts to charged the battery again. It's unfortunate because it is a fine unit otherwise.

purchased my Aspire 8920G with high hopes of finally obtaining a good laptop with a large screen and the fine many features advertised by Acer. However, in fact, after about 1 year of ownership, I have NEVER been more disappointed in any computer more than I am with this one. The many problems I have encountered and money I have spent to fix them has convinced me that even an attempt to sell this computer just to get rid of it will be futile if not bordering on criminal to wish these problems on any other possible owner.
The power cord to the computer and the mating plug-in really [beep] . The 90 degree plug-in causes the power slot to get damaged on the computer itself. I believe my battery is now entirely dead as it will no longer charge and my computer now just shuts down without any warning even when plugged in. Hope I can complete this message before it happen again. Nope it did shut down. I am completing this message to you from my new HP laptop that I just purchased.
I am not sure what to do with your piece of junk that I still own. Anyway, I plan on letting everyone I know or can reach that Acer Aspire is junk and do not buy it in any form. My hope is to cause others to refrain from buying your lousy product and be out over $2500 plus numerous repair costs that I have experienced. I have untold stories yet to tell others about the immense problems [beep] ociated with the Aspire I purchased.
